Kevin Castro

Kevin is a quick-learning, detail-oriented engineer who tackles work head-on. In my time working with them, they showed not only that they could dig into challenging problems and find strong solutions, but also that they were undaunted by things that were brand new to them. I was impressed by their willingness to dive into the unknown, learn, test theories, change approach, measure results, and ultimately turn that unknown into a known.

Kev is an excellent collaborator who cares deeply about helping the team focus and find a good path forward, making sound architectural decisions, and ensuring that consistent progress is made on technical debt. He’s always willing to learn new skills and pair with others, to lean and teach, to help the team as a whole be successful. While at Redox, they worked across the front and back end to help deliver a key customer-requested feature and to help us establish a new, international presence. Any company would be lucky to have Kev work for them!

Kevin was the teacher’s assistant for my cohort at UCSD’s Full Stack Coding Bootcamp. He demonstrated great knowledge and expertise in answering questions at another level compared to the other TA’s.
